My Rhododendron catawbiense ’Roseum elegans’ is old and huge.
It grew on the property when we moved here 19 years ago.
Its branches are crooked and the poor rhododendron grows under a root sprouting cherry tree,
Sorbus aucuparia, a couple of Cornus alba & Rosa glauca - but this June it bloomed beautifully!
’Roseum elegans’ was breeded by the Brit Anthony Waterer in 1800s.
Its buds are very dark.
Back to the 1970s:
Dónde están tus ojos negros by the Spanish group Santabarbara from 1974
Wonderful rhododendrons and a new for me song - a nice beginning of the new week.
