Contrasting Colors at Koiramäen pajutalli

A few words about Lysimachia mummularia ’Aurea’ - Golden Creeping Jenny / Pfenningkraut.

This lime green variety does not spread as furiously as the green version. 

In my garden this plant spends the winter planted in the ground and every spring 

I dig some of it to summer flower pots. I like the color and its ability to ’creep’!

Koiramäen pajutalli’s summer decorations pleased me very much.

Some of the red geraniums are fake, but red & lime green make a splendid contrast.

This is from my garden. The pink petunias have bloomed the whole summer like crazy!

Simple Plantings - Istutuksia

Harrastan yksinkertaisia kesäistutuksia. Tänä kesänä värinä on taivaansininen ja taaskin lime. 

Limen värinen suikeroalpi pulskistuu hienosti pienistä hippusista kesän aikana. 

Siirrän talvehtimaan maahan ja otan taas keväällä käyttöön.

I have always simple summer plantings. This summer in sky blue and lime.

The hanging Lysimachia mummularia 'Aurea' is my favourite.

It grows so well from tiny pieces, spends winter planted in the ground

- and is ready to use in the spring.

Kävinpä ostelemassa kukkasia itselleni äitienpäivälahjaksi.

Petunia sanguina 'Sky Blue' viehätti vakoisella keskustallaan.
Mukaan tarttui orvokkeja myös; ne ovat vielä liian pieniä kuvattaviksi.

I went shopping for some plants as Mother's Day presents for myself.

Petunia sanguina 'Sky Blue' has very pretty blue colour and white center.

Then I bought a mix of pansies as well; they need to grow a bit to be photographed.

Green Weekend

This large steel planter sits on my old garden Singer.
Every spring I search sprouts of this lime Lysimachia mummularia from the garden and plant it here. I like the color.

I am a bit disappointed with that lilac Osteospermum, it stays funny looking...

Lime colored Spiraea japonica makes a good contrast with blue Tradescantia x Andersonii

Lime colored Physocarpus opulifolius is a nice bush in dark corners

I so wish you have more sun than Finland!
