Floral Bliss #26

It is Midsummer week. I connect to midsummer geraniums, lupins, cow parsley

irises and of course Midsummer rose - Rosa spinosissima.

When I was a little girl my father decorated with young birches

 both sides of the stairs. So birch branches belong still to my midsummer tradition
and actually any white & blue flowers bring the right midsummer mood.

Geraniums are not yet in bloom, but I gathered here some that are blooming right now.

Lämmin toukokuu teki sen - juhannusruusu ja lupiinit kukkivat, muutkin ruusut aloittelevat. Mikähän juhannuksena kukkii - riittääköhän meillä kukkia ollenkaan koko kesäksi kun tätä vauhtia kesä etenee!

The warm May did it - Rosa pimpinellifolia 'Plena' is in bloom. In Finland we call this rose Midsummer Rose. Lupines are in bloom too, as well as some other roses. I wonder what is blooming at Midsummer - are we having any flowers left in July and August?
