Five on Friday

I'll list again five things of my week and link with Amy's Five on Friday. Take time to peek what the others have been up to. The link is at the bottom of the post.

1 Strawberries & painting the house
I promised to eat strawberries in the summer with whipped cream - a lot. Started this week with imported from Spain. The Finnish strawberries are not yet ripe.

We have to paint the house. We made 3 proof paintings on the wall and could make up our minds. A big job ahead, mainly for the hubby.

2 The scent of lilacs!
Lovely weather and sun the whole week! Yesterday we got a good rain and I was very happy with it... My lilac hedgerows are in full bloom and the scent is fabulous. Mainly I have purples but some whites and pinks as well.

Wenn der weisse Flieder wieder blüht is an old German schlager that tells about white lilacs. On Youtube you can listen the Finnish version by a pretty famous Olavi Virta.

3 Apple blossom petals raining
Our only & old apple tree was packed with flowers and now the petals are raining down. Looks rather pretty.

4 Roland Garros
Not any surprising results yet. Hoping for good & tight matches. I need this rest because my back is complaining...

5 Coming next week - Flower Wednesday
I'll host this linkup starting the 1st of June. I think this does not compete with Five on Friday because the idea is different. The linkup is the place to share your beautiful flower photos for others to admire - you are most welcome to participate!

Have a lovely weekend!

Kukkakeskiviikon tunnus (sivupalkissakin) on niin kaunis, että pohdiskelin jo missä blogissa linkitys mahtaa olla. Osallistun varmasti, jos täällä jotain kukkii... :)

  9. The strawberries are almost (!!!) too pretty to eat! Gorgeous lilacs (something I can't grow where I live, but remember them from my younger days ... I miss them). Tennis -- it is that time, isn't it! Take care of your back.

  14. Love, love, love lilacs, but they are one of those flowers that just won't grow here. Strawberry season is over here, they were so good, now it's watermelon time.

  21. Beautiful strawberries and lilacs. The smell of lilacs brings me right back to when I was seven years old and walking up the drive of a gorgeous, historical home. Thanks for sharing!

  22. Such luscious looking strawberries. Ours here on the west coast of Canada are ripening - we've enjoyed several bowlfuls. I eat them mostly with yogurt for breakfast, but there needs to be some whipping cream and berries soon! Your lilacs are so pretty. Good luck painting the house.
