Virpominen is one of the Finnish Easter traditions - read more - mehr lesen!
In short this means that kids dressed as Easter witches or trulls
come with fancy decorated willow twigs to your door.
Then they recite a spell in poetry form wishing you all the best for the coming year.
When you get the fancy decorated twig you are supposed to give the kids some Easter candy.

    What a lovely Easter tradition, wish, they would come to us too!
    Have again only archive photso (an old prepaired post), the garden is still sleeping after all the snow and I have just such a lot of alldays stuff, had not thought about easter, until your post reminds me about this. Thank you and have a happy Easter celebration
