Furry Friends of PetPoint

I have posted about these cute furry friends before, but once more!

The owner of the local pet shop PetPoint has these wonderful dogs 

- white Samoyed Marlon and huge Newfounland Puntti.

Every time we go grocery shopping, we look if they are in the shop and 

my husband buys them treats. Puntti is big as a brown bear - but so cute & gentle.

Friday Bliss #124 - Striking Red

No trace of Winter Wonderland this week - it has been grey and wet every day.

Over the weekend more snow is being forecast and temperatures round -7 C.

Hopefully some sun, too.

Floral Bliss of the week: The third stem of my red amaryllis is blooming wonderfully.

The stem is ridiculously high, I have to cut it down before it falls on the floor. 

Four blooms are open at the same time, still two to open.

This week Sissi went to see a doctor. She had cratched her cheek very badly.

No other way but use the annoying collar and take cortisone.

Fortunately the skin is recovering well. The reason for itching must be the dry air inside.

My cozy reading was an audiobook by Petra Giménez Barlett - Ritos de muerte.

It is the first book of her series of the detective Petra Delicado and happens in Barcelona.

A literally tourist trip I enjoyed.

My January in Collage

I’ll remember this January of a real snow inferno - in two days we got 50 cm new snow.

There was also a period of freezing weather, under minus 20 C. Otherwise quite normal,

if you can say that under a pandemia - endless monotonous days, short and tired days, 

not much daylight, no covid nor colds - a reason to be happy about.

Book Piles

The theme of Makrotex this week is PILE. I started to read in Spanish a few years ago

with Agatha Christie’s detective stories. I have swapped away many of my first Spanish books 

but these eleven Agatha Christie's books are still on my shelf.

Agatha Christie's first book The Mysterious Affair at Styles was published in 1920.

I read the book last summer to honor the 100th anniversary of this great writer.

Friday Bliss #123 - Beautiful Frost on Trees

Time flies, and that is good - in a moment we are in February.

The winter weather has been pleasant covering the trees with beautiful frost.

Some photos from my daily walks in the neighbourhood. Above my home street.

Last week’s carnations are still fresh as new.

The life continues quiet and monotonous. This week I listened

La madre de Frankenstein by Almudena Grandes. The novel tells about

Spain in 1950s under the dictatorship of Franco.

In the Winter Sun

Today we have a SPLENDID winter day. The sky is clear and the sun is shining.

This happiness is supposed to turn into snowing tomorrow and the temperature of - 7 C 

into plus grades on Friday. But as long as this bliss continues, I’ll enjoy!

Delicious & Juicy

The theme of Makrotex this week is DELICIOUS.

Oranges are so delicious & juicy at the moment, packed with C vitamin, too.

Orange is also a delicious color, therefore some orange skies as well.

On Sunday afternoon there was this brief orange moment

when the sunset looked fabulous!

For Jutta’s Digitalart Dienstag I changed the orange sky

to Aurora Borealis.
