I Believe in You Santa

The days are very short, only six hours. In Helsinki the sun rises approximately at 9.15 am and sets at 3.15 pm. Not much to be happy about. Right after noon the scenery gets a golden touch from the setting sun... Fortunately we got some snow and it made the scenery to WinterWonderland for a day or so. It won’t last, it is too warm, the climate, the climate - no true winters anymore! But it was so beautiful for a while, and it made me to think of Santa and all the kids around the world who believe in him. It feels good to believe in something or somebody who is capable of fulfilling our dreams.

An Advent Story - I believe in you Santa
Little Willy was again restless when he went to bed. He was nervous because he did not know
if he had been nice enough. It also annoyed him that the kids in the kindergarden had great
Advent calendars. Sometimes a mini toy popped out, sometimes chocolate.
It was unfair that his calendar was so boring, got for free from the church!

Why no one invented a World Calendar, when anything else was invented, thought Willy.
Opening the hatch, one could travel in time to a particular moment in history.
Willy would like to see definitely the dinosaurs alive. And dragons, because he believed in them too.
If he had such a fancy World Calendar, Willy would become so popular and every kid
would want to be his friend.

"Dear Santa, I believe in you and that you have such calendars.
Could I have one in express mail, please?
No need for Rudolph either, because the postal services are not in strike anymore.”

Here in the south we don’t have as beautiful frost on trees as in Lapland where
Santa Claus lives. Photo: Santa Claus Village, Rovaniemi Lapland
On the site a lot of info & videos

I have two beautiful videos for you:
an animated story telling about friendship & a ballet.

Wishing you a blessed Advent time!

  2. This is really a winter wonderland, so beautiful and how in the first picture the red berries are still "flashing". Fantastically beautiful and I thank you already that you let us be part of this magic.

Phew, that's really early dark, what we complain about the time change. Too bad that you don't have a real winter anymore.

So I would also like to have such an Advent calendar, at least the possibility to travel in time. I think about so many times when I see old buildings. Time travel will probably always be a dream of mankind.

...and then still at the end with you today two so wonderful videos. Also for it I would like to thank you. Both go to me so deep to the heart, it is allowed to have tears roll, isn’t it. You made me today a very special joy, thank you for it.

Have a beautiful day and greeting over to you

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words Nova ❤️💛❤️💛
Winter Wonderland still exists here, but in the evening the rain will come. Finland is a long country and the differences in temperatures are huge. The other day Utsjoki, Lapland had -31 C, and southern Hanko +7 C. Here in the south it is often very wet and that is quite different from my childhood, spent in Imatra, Carelia.

But the Cristmas will come to everybody on earth :) I'm so glad you liked the videos. Have a lovely day.

  3. Dear Riitta
thank you very much for the beautiful videos that can really move you to tears. The world is so beautiful without hate, greed, envy, fanaticism and racism. But unfortunately it is as it is and we can only each of us contribute a little bit to prevent at least in our narrow environment all the ugliness.
Oh yes, the days are short, but soon.....soon it will go up again! :-)
I wish you a fine Wednesday from the bottom of my heart,
    kind regards
    moni

  8. The snow is so pretty to see, as I don't get many chances here in New Zealand. Your photos are so bright and seasonal and all are fabulous to see!

  12. That's the difference. For you, it is not as much snow as usual and for us, in Germany, it is a wonderland, even for one day.
    Love your pics.

    Hhave a nice day
