The Weekend Roundup Z

Starts with Z:
Zoological Museum of Helsinki - sorry no Zebra!

Starts with Z:
Tourist Zone

Starts with Z & my favourite:
Zzzzz

The Finnish alphabets have still two letters to go: Ä & Ö.
Two tongue twisters to show how funny they sound.

Ääliö, älä lyö, ööliä läikkyy!
Idiot, don't hit, beer spills!

Gödöllön pöllö töllöttää, möllöttää, köllöttää ja ööliä löllöttää
The owl of town Gödöllö (in Hungary) watches around, sulks, idles and consumes beer.

I’m such a great photographer: Christmas lights in Helsinki :)))
Anyway, Happy New Year to you all!

  1. It looks so funny , and as I tried to read even funnier. I’ sure it’s more funny to hear it by "original sound"

Great your end of the project, the Z, and I especially like Sissi how chilled she lies in the box ♥

Have a nice weekend and greetings to you

  5. Looks like the kind of language that would give a newcomer fits trying to learn it - let alone pronounce it!

  6. I agree with David, it looks a very difficult language to learn. Love your sleeping cat. Hope you had a lovely Christmas and may I wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

  7. Your Sissi looks sooo peaceful, cats love finding boxes to sleep in. It would be interesting learning those two extra letters. I am supposing other languages having the sounds but not the letters.
We visited Helsinki in 2009 while on a Baltic Capital cruise. I remember visiting the church in the rock on the hillside. There was a car show in the parking area below. We think too that this was the city where we toured by bus, its route was in a figure eight and we had to change buses between the loops to see both.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to YOU and YOURS.

  8. ...Riitta, your ZZZZing kitty is my favorite. I didn't realize that you had two addition letters. Next year is a leap year perhap you could use one of them. Happy New Year.

  9. Dear Riitta,
what a interesting "Z", it's good, that you informed us, it's not a Zebra. We really wouldn't have noticed otherwise. ;-) Ha-ha-ha...
Your Finnish tongue twisters (for us) are wonderful!
Also your light pictures are beautiful. ♥
I wish you a nice and relaxed weekend,
    warm greetings
