Friday Bliss #135 - On the Verge of Burst

It is a bit warmer now, around 10 - 12  - 15 C but sunny. Nothing much is sprouting yet,
only crocuses are blooming, but hares like to eat them up! I have been working daily in the garden.
As our small woods is gone now I have planted 10 Thuja Brabants here and there to give
wind shelter - hard work! A few shots I took while visiting the garden  center.
It feels lovely to plan the terrace decoration and container plantings for the summer.
My first garden bouquet of the season with crocuses in mini size.

This Welcome basket would be nice...

I need new balcony boxes for the terrace. Would like to find ones
that are plastic but look like willow.

I like small flowered pansies the best and in blue tones.
Container plantings will be done later, at the moment it is too early.

I would not buy a big lion statue, but a huge urn or huge pot might be nice!

Once more this handsome goshawk that I saw this week.

Thank you for all the lovely comments you leave week after week at Friday Bliss.
Wishing a happy & sunny weekend!

  1. I like it with the crocuses, never seen it this way before. For sure you will find many pretty potts and plants for your garden, and I am curious what you will choose.

A good start into the weekend, sunny hours an good time for the weekend.

    Greetings and hugs

  2. It's fresh with us yesterday but it was bearable on our tour.
In my balcony box I now also have pansies and some bee-friendly things. I do that every year so that the insects have something to eat and then they come by
Yeah and what kind of gorgeous cat is that. Your flowers are super beautiful and I'm curious.
Eva wishes you a nice weekend and thank you for your always lovely comments.

  3. Liebe Riitta,

  14. Dear Riitta
Your crocuses are wonderful, I really like the colors. Wow, you saw and photographed a goshawk so closely, great. There are some birds of prey here, mostly kites.
Have a lovely weekend and hugs

  15. Dear Riitta,
I didn't know that hares eat crocuses! Fortunately, you were able to save a bouquet of crocuses for your vase - they look very beautiful. The hawk you photographed is really a magnificent bird!
    Best wishes from Austria,

  21. Coming back for my comment on the beautiful bird you saw. I might take the lions statue, because of the symbol" the lion of Juda it represents:) Beautiful purples in the flowers! Have a great weekend:) Jesh

  22. I admire your lovely crocuses. The hawk is very handsome!
It is snowing, raining and very cold in my place. My garden is flooded with water and there are ducks that came from nearby ponds.
    Hugs and greetings.
