  1. That is one thing I am missing over here...Lakes ;-) Loved them in Germany and more in CDN. Never been at yours but I’ve got a feeling as I saw the pic. Some people say it’s curios, cause we are a island and having water around, but that is different^^

Hopefully we can enjoy these places as quickly as possible.

All the best for you, stay healthy and take care

    Greetings

    1. Lakes and ocean are a different thing :)) In Finland many people have a summer cottage on the shore of some lake. I don't have summer cottge any more. Too much driving & maintaining, this house with garden is enough.

      Sun & health, abrazos <3

  2. Liebe Riitta,

  5. ...a country of thousand LAKES sounds great to me. Between the US and Canada in the Saint Lawrence River there is an area known as the Thousand Islands. LOVELY LILIES. The LIGHT Festival at LINNANMAKI amusement park LOOKS LIKE fun, I would guess that virus has closed it down. What a LOVELY sing of spring. Thanks Tiitta for stopping by, take car and stay well.

    1. Finland is pretty much closed, this state of emergency is scheduled to last till April 13 - but I am pretty sure the restrictions shall continue. Borders are closed s well as schools; theaters, cinemas, museums, libraries etc. All public gatherings of more than 10 persons are forbidden. We are asked to avoid social contacts in every way. Frightening.

  7. Dear Riitta!
The state of emergency is a very wise decision of your government.
I dream to meet your country one day. It is very beautiful, called the "Land of a thousand lakes".
I wish you a lot of health, take care of yourself.

  8. Your caprea in spring is beautiful. Yes, there were a Lot of Lakes there, again sooo pretty. On our cruise we spent a day there. We missed the amusement park but did visit the Helsinki Cathedral and had lunch in the basement. Lunch was nice and so were the people we talked with.

  9. It has been a week of change in Connecticut, but I guess we adapt as always. All Of us be relieved when Covid-19 is a memory.

What a lovely lake, this one a place to relax after a busy day/week. Quiet and peaceful. The lilies are lovely and the lights at Linnanmäki are bold and beautiful. I am happy that Spring is arriving during these tumultuous times...
