Friday Bliss #62 - Farewell Bouquets

Today I’ll share also some photos of funeral bouquets I photographed last week
while attending a small funeral.
Popular flowers were pale pink roses and carnations in different colors.
There were alstromerias, scimmias, chrysanthemums, wax flowers, eustomas,
delphiniums, even alliums...

This one made on Oasis base was very elegant in my eyes. Lime green carnations,
white alstromeria and brown scimmia were a beautiful combination.

This pretty HEART plus a crocheted ball with fairy lights on was very beautiful
and very special - I have never seen anything like that before.

  2. Guten Morgen Riite,

    Wolfgang

    1. Yes Wolfgang, funerals are always sad and makes us think about the course of life. She was the mother of my son-in-love. May she rest in peace <3

  4. Me neither, never have seen such a combination with fairy lights before. Also all the other lovely flower bouquets. They look different to here. I like them, they are beautiful.

But the occasion was sad and not really not beautiful.

† May the mother of your son-in-love rest in peace. All the best and lots of strength for the family †

    Greetings

    Dir alles Gute!

  8. Dear riitta,
flowers are part of our lives, from beginning to end. I also think that flowers are not there for the dead. They don't see them anymore. They are there to comfort the living and to give them joy in life.
The flower arrangements you have photographed are very noble and beautiful!
    Have a happy Friday,
    heartily moni

  9. Kauniita surukimppuja ja -vihkoja.
Minäkin kävin Suomessa pienissä hautajaisissa viimeviikolla.
    Meitä sukulaisia oli paikalla kolme.

    Tunelmallista marraskuista viikonloppua!

  14. ...the arrangements were done by someone with the eye and touch for beauty. But what caught my eye were the first two images, the heather/heath and what we call reindeer moss. My sympathies to the family.
