T in die neue Woche

Some decorative French balconies in Barcelona.

Today is Palm Sunday. We have a tradition that little Easter witches go from door to door
with their decorated catkin twigs, tell a spell and get chocolate eggs in reward.
Not going to happen today.

  1. Parvekkeet ovat niin koristeellisia etteivät tarvitse riemunkirjavia kesäkukkia piristykseksi.
Pikkunoitien on hyvä pysytellä kotona etsimässä suklaamunia tänään. Ensi vuonna sitten virpomaan.

  2. What a cut traditon, and also so cute an funny how the little witches looks like. I love it!! Over here we normaly also get decorated with catkin twigs, I mean the doors. This year we shall do it by ourselfes. When it’s getting light I go outside and cut one from my olive-tree.

Also I like your T-impressions, such beautiful building. Thanks for sharing and linking.

Sundaygreetings to you and stay healthy

  3. Simply wonderful artful house fronts and balconies! I'm excited! It is a shame that due to the situation, all traditions cannot take place at the moment. On the other hand, this can make us more aware of the value because we miss it!

I wish you all the best and stay healthy

  5. Dear Riitta,
I love these beautiful balconies. The entire front of the house is beautifully designed.
What a pity that so much is cancelled or postponed this spring. This makes me personally a little sad for all those who wanted to celebrate cheerfully.
Sunny Sunday and take care of yourself,
    warmly moni

  6. The photos of Barcelona are wonderful. At the moment we can't live the traditions all over the world. But let's hope we can start again when this nightmare is over.

  9. The balconies are lovely, and I have a similar photo of the umbrella house. Such a beautiful city. Yes, many of our traditions are being left this Easter. But we can still celebrate the resurrection in our homes and our hearts.

  15. I am sorry the witches can't be out and about. We too are preparing for the Passover Seder at home. The smallest I have ever participated in! Thanks for sharing the beautiful balconies of Barcelona.
