We got some heavy rain - so had to content with the photos I had... The white phlox is very pretty in the photo, in the real life I like better that with a hint of pink.
The lilac phlox is called Syringa phlox. It is a very old traditional phlox. I did not find its specific latin name, not other than Phlox paniculata... It is very tall & slender and bends in the slightest rain and has pretty small flowers.
All brighter phlox varieties I have donated to my daughter-in-law.
Hääkukkien näköisiä. Ihanan runsaat kukinnat.
Mukavaa viikonloppua!
PoistaHow did you know that to me white phlox is the epitome of summer. I love its scent and I am just sitting here opening my pictures of it from the camera.
VastaaPoistaThe comination with the pink and lavender is terrific. I don't have any others besides a very fierce purple one, which I think is called 'Brigadeer'.
Thank you for waking me up - I was just about to fall asleep at the keyboard :-)
Perhaps I have some telephatic bewitched abilities :) I'm so glad I made a good choice. I had a very bright pink and a blue one as well but they decorate now my daughter-in-law's garden... I'm more a fan of pastel tones... Can't wait for your white phlox photos!
Kiva tutustua Piparminttu! Minulla on nyt värikäs elokuu, muuten on ehkä enempi pastelleja :)
PoistaYour phlox are truly stunning. Had them a number of years back until our whippet back then decided they were fun to extract from the flower bed and shake around the garden! Must get some more.
VastaaPoistaHave a wonderful weekend Riitta :)
