Friday Bliss #135 - On the Verge of Burst

It is a bit warmer now, around 10 - 12  - 15 C but sunny. Nothing much is sprouting yet,

only crocuses are blooming, but hares like to eat them up! I have been working daily in the garden.

As our small woods is gone now I have planted 10 Thuja Brabants here and there to give 

wind shelter - hard work! A few shots I took while visiting the garden  center.

It feels lovely to plan the terrace decoration and container plantings for the summer.

My first garden bouquet of the season with crocuses in mini size.

This Welcome basket would be nice...

I need new balcony boxes for the terrace. Would like to find ones 

that are plastic but look like willow.

I like small flowered pansies the best and in blue tones.

Container plantings will be done later, at the moment it is too early.

I would not buy a big lion statue, but a huge urn or huge pot might be nice!

Once more this handsome goshawk that I saw this week.

A Rare Visitor

The other day I was sitting in our living room reading.

Suddenly I noticed this goshawk sitting on the bannister of the trellis.

It sat there for a long while turning its head. When I tried to move closer,

it flew away. The photos are not that excellent taken through the window,

but still the best taken by me of a goshawk!

Yellow Mix

Yellow spring bloomers are still dormant, so a few photos from my archives.

I plant tete-a-tete daffodils every spring to a couple of containers.

The daffodils planted at Easter are still in tight bud, because it has been so cold.

Looking forward to the burst of color!
