Friday Bliss #153 - Housing Fair & Physalis

The Housing Fair (part II) is not only the largest housing and living event in Finland, it is also a significant idea bank and marketplace both in the real world and on the internet. Every year, for four weeks in July-August, various living solutions and residential areas are showcased at the Housing Fair. The needs of different demographical groups are taken into consideration at the planning stage and a wide range of building, renovation, interior design and landscaping solutions are presented every time.

This year The Housing Fair was in Lohja, the next in Naantali. Me & hubby visited the Lohja fair with friends and took a few photos. I liked a lot the simple Scandinavian decoration in earthy tones. My own home is not this stylish, but you can always dream!

This children’s room was adorable. There was a lot to see!
This is Designtalo’s Idyll. If you wish to walk through the house, clic to the video HERE!
On the video you can see a luxury walk-in-closet that was in many houses.

I could not resist this beautiful Physalis alkekengi in pot.
I have somehow lost it in my garden and shall later plant this into the ground.
As to colors I think it fits the color sceme. Photographed in front of my old
and withered picture fame where I have put a mirror.

❤︎❤︎❤︎
Wishing you all a relaxing & sunny weekend, stay well & healthy!
Thank you for all the lovely comments you leave week after week at Friday Bliss.

  1. Guten Morgen Riita,

  2. Good morning dear Riitta! I would also like the style ... but above all the bathtub! Such a great part!

Nice how you arranged the physalis. I've already filled it with a string of lights. That looks great too!

    Warm greetings

  3. Liebe Riitta,

    Wolfgang

  5. I once had a Physalis plant that found its way into one of my pots in the garden. It only produced a few fruits. Your Physalis is very colourful and I too wouldn't be able to resist buying if I were to see one here.

  6. I like a housing fair, different to my style but sometimes to get inspiration.

Pretty the Physalis. Good luck in your garden with it.

    Greetings to you

  8. Thanks for sharing the nice images of the House fair. I like sisustus programs and watch many of them on tv. I do like this kind of things.
Your Physalis is lovely. My plants are in the garden, outside, but going pretty well also this year.
Happy weekend! (Let's hope not so rainy...)

  10. Dear Riitta,
I think REAL people never live in a home that is sooooo stylish ;-) If a real person designs his or hers home so soberly, then in my opinion this person does not really LIVE. I think the subtle furniture is beautiful (I generally like Scandinavian design very much), but to live in it I miss books, photographs, holiday memories, painted pictures, style breaks ... just everything that makes a house come alive.
Your beautiful physalis in the orange pot also brings your home to life - and the colors go wonderfully with late summer and coming autumn.
    All the best from Austria,
    Traude

    PS:
I've had to think of you a lot lately, because you recently lost your beloved cat Sissi. Unfortunately we also had to let our cat Maxwell cross the Rainbow Bridge last week... (https://rostrose.blogspot.com/2021/08/rip-liebster-aller-maxwells.html)
