I’ll show you a few funny views through the windows of Oodi.
the new & modern central library in Helsinki. The scenery is bare, photos were taken
From the windows you can see Alvar Aalto’s Finlandia Hall from 1971.
The high tower belongs to The National Museum of Finland and the green modern block
is Concert Hall. The beautiful old house is nowadays a museum - Hakasalmi Villa.
The other tower belongs to Kristuskyrkan - Church of Christ
being part of the Swedish Methodist Church of Finland.
Maybe 200 m to the right you’ll find our National Opera

and right around the corner to the left you’ll find Kiasma - Museum of Contemporary Art.
You may wonder what are the spots in some photos?
They are not dirt on my lens or on the glass, nor raindrops.
They present the latest technology
being small random dots made by some computer program.

Through Oodis big windows you can see also our Parliament House from 1931.
It was designed by Johan Sigfrid Sirén in classical style.
Quite a concentration of culture, isn’t it!
And I did not mention yet HAM - Helsinki Art Museum, Amos Rex
Really interesting views, Riitta!
VastaaPoistaWishing you a lovely day and a great summerweekend!
Love and hugs, Claudia xo
I'm not understanding the purpose of the dots but they have an interesting impact on the view. They make the top photo specially interesting.
VastaaPoistaAt first glance, it looks as if the dots were tiny snow flakes to me. Lovely view through the Oodis big window.
VastaaPoistaThe dots are weird! It looks like a plague of insects, or smudges on the glass, arriving! 🤔
VastaaPoista...the architecture in Helsinki is a wonderful mix of the old and new, what a treat to see! I hope that you are prepared to enjoy your summer, it still feels like spring this morning here. Thanks for sharing, I'll be by for Friday Bliss a bit later today.

The library is a handsome building and I love the views.
VastaaPoistaRiitta - your country is always on the edge in terms of adopting the latest technology. What do people think of the spotted glass? It may also help convince the birds not to fly into the windows! Thanks for adding a touch of culture to Mosaic Monday this week!
VastaaPoistaHello, I thought the drops were from the rain. Wonderful collection of views and photos. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy new week!
