Floral Bliss #26

It is Midsummer week. I connect to midsummer geraniums, lupins, cow parsley

irises and of course Midsummer rose - Rosa spinosissima.

When I was a little girl my father decorated with young birches

 both sides of the stairs. So birch branches belong still to my midsummer tradition
and actually any white & blue flowers bring the right midsummer mood.

Geraniums are not yet in bloom, but I gathered here some that are blooming right now.

Iris sibirica

At first - specially for DND!
I'm not good at photographing tiny moving objects :)

The bee got disturbed, did not like me...
And flew away in less than a second!

Tykkään näistä herkistä, luonnonkukan oloisista Siperiankurjenmiekoista. Ne leviävät hyvin ja kukkivat kiltisti minimihoidolla.

This Iris sibirica is delicate and has wild flower look. It spreads well, blooms abundantly and needs practically no care.

Ensimmäiset sain äitini puutarhasta, siksikin ne ovat minulle rakkaita. Olen pari kertaa yrittänyt myös valkoista versiota, mutta en ole onnistunut.

The first plants I got from my mother's garden, one reason more to love this.  I have tried a couple of times also the white version - with no success.

Tämä on hyvä yhdistelmä samaan aikaan kukkivan keltapäivänliljan kanssa, koska siperiankurjenmiekassa on hiukan keltaista.

It is a good combination with Hemerocallis lilio-asphodelus because they bloom at the same time and the iris has a bit of yellow.
