Winterglück - Winter Happiness?

Loretta and Wolfgang have this linkup called Winterglück - Winter Happiness.  Actually I don’t know whether these sights make me happy - probably not. We have so much snow and we are getting more every other day.... In southern Europe spring sprouts of crocus and snowdrops are in sight, but none here. Everything lies under over a half a meter of snow.

But inside the sight of colourful fresh tulips does make me happy!

I’ll add my color collage from yesterday with spring photos...

Image verifying drives me nuts and makes commenting very difficult.
Could it be possible for you not to use it?

This song is called White Winter Hymnal, but Pentatonix members are singing
in a summer forest! They are an American a cappella group from Arlington, Texas.

I hope you enjoy!

Cold & Sunny Helsinki ❤︎

I’m very lazy in photographing Helsinki - maybe it is too familiar to me...

But today it is a stunning winter day: full sunshine, clear blue sky and - 20C.

I have to share you these _very_ quick mobile shots (I was sitting in the car).

The beautiful Eastern Orthodox Uspenski Cathedral

- beside a modern office block of Stora Enso, a pulp, paper etc. producing company.

The huge office building is designed by the great Alvar Aalto and built in the 60’s.

The Helsinki market place at the background, today empty due to the cold.

But the tourists don’t mind...

Along The Kaivopuisto Park you can admire The Gulf of Finland in its winter beauty.

Underneath a memorial to seafarers and those who died in the sea

by the sculptor Oskari Jauhiainen & Eero Eerikäinen from 1968.

Maybe to these beautiful winter scenes the voice of Tarja Turunen is appropriate.

This former vocalist of the Finnish heavy metal band Nightwish has a stunning voice!

My January was blue and white with a bit of pink.

❤︎
Wishing you a great new week!

Red & White Christmas

RED is The Christmas color. So I searched for you some red flowers
added with white and a bit sparkle to bring the right festive mood.

We have here in Finland Winter Wonderland and white Christmas even in the south.
So even Santa is happy and Rudolf the Reindeer has an easy way to homes!

THANK YOU all my dear blog friends for your pleasant company this year.

May your Christmas be merry and may the year 2019 bring

Health, wealth and love. And time to enjoy them!

❤︎

Salud, amor y pesetas. Y tiempo para gozarlas!

Gesundheit, Geld und Liebe. Und Zeit, sie zu genießen!

Terveyttä, rahaa ja rakkautta. Ja aikaa nauttia niistä!

❤︎

I’ll add here a newly released video that was filmed this autumn in the center of Helsinki.

Unfortunately not snow yet. The interpretation is a modern one of Hosanna.
Maybe my foreign readers are interested to see.
