Happens in March

The theme of Makrotex is MARCH.  Today, on March 8th we celebrate 

International Women’s Day and on March 19th  in Finland  writer Minna Canth (1844-1897) 

and gender equality. I’ll share a poem of Eeva Kilpi, that reminds so well us women

to love and take care of ourselves:

Going to bed, I think:

Tomorrow I will heat up the sauna,

Pamper myself,

Walk, swim, wash,

Have a cup of tea in the evening, 

Talk to myself in a friendly and admiring way, praising:

You brave little woman,

I believe in you.

This lovely photo is from a book about Eeva Kilpi that I read last summer.

The book belongs to a series of remarkable Finnish women and is directed to young people.

The other two Finnish superwomen are writer Minna Canth and painter Ellen Thesleff.
