In my kitchen there is a corner window to the east / south. I have small green plants in lanterns.
St Paulia is always cute and Beaucarnea recurvata - in English Ponytail Palm
and in German Elefantenfuss - looks interesting, is easy to care and tolerates draught.

The window sill is Sissi’s favourite place to watch birds.
It is still very dark in the evenings and mornings, so I have these tiny fairy lights on.
Outside moss is practically the only green at the moment.

I can only repeat myself, this is such a great idea with the plants in the lanterns, even if it is actually to protect Sissi; and the lanterns themselves are also great. I regret that I don't have windowsills inside.

VastaaPoistaThe plants in lanterns are beautiful, and such a good idea. I would think they might create a bit of humidity, too, which my plants always lack in winter. It's snowing here, and there is at least a 20 cm on the ground. A good stay -at-home day. I love moss.

I like Sisi’s birdwatching perch! And all of the fairy lights, especially the lighted wreath. The flower in the first picture (the one with tiny purple blossoms) looks like thehouse plant I would have called an African Violet back in the days when I had house plants. It is a very beautiful one, and lovely in the lantern. All those things you show plus books are just what is needed to make the winter days beautiful!
