April comes to its end and the spring has come even to Finland. The snow has melted away
and I have started to work in the garden. There are tiny signs of new growth:
crocuses, scillas and bursting buds. I got these sunny tulips from a visiting friend
and combined them with lime button chrysanthemums.
Selma and Silva got sterilized and they wore this kind of protectic wear,
which was much more comfortable than collar. The first days they were tired
but are now their lively selves. They will celebrate their 8 month birthday on May 2.
Vappu - May Day and the eve of First of May are traditional big celebrations in Finland
with student caps, balloons, booze, tippaleipä and sima / mead, a fermented citrus drink.
But I have grown too old for extravagances and prefer take it easy and stay home!

The green plant as hair of the lady is Tradescantia. I like this variety with its purple under leaves. The kitties are well again and they are really good, too good as a matter of fact 😻

We had to use a collar on Sissi during her last winter and that was terrible This wear was tolerated very well. Happy May Traude.
Poistabrilliant to put clothing on the kittens instead of those hated collars! Love your yellow and the photos are great. If I got to drink citrus drinks and eat whatever that pastry is I'd go along with all the celebrations!

VastaaPoistain der Nacht zum ersten Mai wird hier in Deutschland auch viel gefeiert, aber wir haben es auch vorgezogen zu Hause zu bleiben.
Das leuchtende Gelb und das Grün passen sehr gut zusammen, ein wundervoller Strauß. Ich mag gelbe Blüten sehr, sie sind einfach wie kleine Sonnen.
