Today I’ll share with you these face pots with curly Tradescantia hair.
I bought the pots last summer at 7 € each, one is white and the other grey.
I don’t have any big green plants because of the kittens.
That is why I often visit garden centers and admire their great assortments.
A few photos from such visit to follow.
On Sunday 24 April we celebrate the flag day of Åland.
Åland / Ahvenanmaa is an autonomous and demilitarised region of Finland since 1920
by a decision of the League of Nations. It is the smallest region of Finland by area
and population of only 30.000. Its only official language is Swedish and Mariehamn is the capital city.
In this new unstable geopolitical situation (Russia’s attack to Ukraine) there has been
discussions whether the demilitarisation of Åland is wise or not.
Some say it should be cancelled, but no decisions yet on the matter.

PoistaIt's very depressing, the situation in your country as in the other Baltic states. There are also Russian statements that they would then have to denazify all of Europe. The beautiful flowers cannot always consol me about these thoughts.

Hi Astrid,
PoistaIt is very probable that Finland will leave our Nato application in the next few weeks, together with Sweden or alone. There was a big discussion at our parlament and it stood very clear that our previous ’good’ relations with Russia are gone for good. The Russian propaganda is outrageous and full of lies. After this Ukraine episode no state will trust Russia nor want to cooperate with them in business in the future.

VastaaPoistathe face pots with their plant hair look beautiful and were real bargains at €7 each! Your garden centers really have a lot to offer - even pineapples! I can imagine that it's not always easy to resist the temptation ;-)
I have fond memories of Åland / Ahvenanmaa. What I didn't know is that the only official language is Swedish. Russia's attack to Ukraine unsettles many people and the ability of countries that are relatively close to Russia or Ukraine to defend themselves is being questioned... as is the case here.

PoistaOtherwise Finland has two official languages, Finnish and Swedish but Åland is an exception. I have spent there vacations before the time of digital cameras. It is very small island and we circulated with car all over. Wonderful memories from a sunny summer.

I take openly photos here, they won’t mind, on the contrary. They will have plenty of perennials and an uals later, in May and June.
