“April is the cruelest month, breeding
lilacs out of the dead land, mixing
memory and desire, stirring
dull roots with spring rain.”
- T.S. Eliot, The Waste Land
To me the cruelest month is November - colorless, wet and dark.
Some impressions from my daily walks.
lingonberry & blueberry twigs and twigs with beard moss... I made this chestnut cone
twenty years ago and it is as good as new!
Seeing the non existent colors of the Finnish nature in November,
you’ll understand why my thoughts turn to Christmas!

November is a bleak month, I agree. Not much colour, but still Christmas to look forward to. Your chestnut cone is beautiful!
VastaaPoistaI agree with you, that November is a colorless month. But it's up to you to bring some color in your home and I think it looks already nice with your Christmas decoration.
VastaaPoistaHave a nice weekend

...I believe that you need to change your point of view, you found some lovely scenes.
VastaaPoistaMarraskuuta parhaimmillaan :D Siis ytimessä. Samaa mieltä kanssasi, että marraskuu on kuukausista julmin. Onneksi se on kohta selätetty.
VastaaPoistaSince yesterday it’s "ugly§ here too...but we need the rain, so for me not so cruelest cause I know it will be better again. On your pics it dosn’t look so crueless, for sure cause of the color-points you found. Never saw a chestnut cone before...I like it.
VastaaPoistaGreetings and hugs

Your chestnut cone is a good idea...although I like so mush to eat them! :)
VastaaPoistaThe above quote is one of my favourites. It reminds me of the earliest times at university. I have only dear memories of those times...
Yo lo veo bien. Noviembre en España tiene lindos colores. Besos.
