My international blog friends might be interested how Finland celebrated The World Championship in Ice Hockey. This was our third WC and the celebration went on in Kaisaniemi park in Helsinki. There was a huge mass of people, more than 40 000! Also President Sauli Niinistö was present and very proud of the team. The over 200 cm tall captain Marko Anttila was the hero.
My photos are from
Ilta-Sanomat. Please look at the link with 40 photos of ice hockey fans celebrating.
Varmasti ulkolaisia ystäviäsi kiinnostaa meidän hauskojakin piirteitä saanut juhlinta :)
VastaaPoistaOlemme Vilnassa viettämässä pitkää viikonloppua ja meille on satanut onnitteluja aivan kuin me olisimme olleet itse kaukalossa.
Ottelu tuli täkäläisestä televisiosta, tietysti liettuaksi. Silti kuuli, että selostaja oli suomalaisten puolella.
Mukavaa tiistaita.
Minua ei lätkä niinkään kiinnosta, isäntää kyllä. Mukavaa minilomaa.
PoistaVery, very interesting to read about Ice Hockey. By the way, we have here in Augsburg the PANTHERS, our team ... if you like https://www.aev-panther.de/start.html
VastaaPoistaHappy MosaicMonday
Hi Erica,
PoistaI looked at your link - a fierce new coach you have there :) Ice hockey is the most popular team sport in Finland.
Interesting that someone so tall is a hockey player. Knowing nothing about it . . . I would have guessed shorter would be easier on ice because it would be easier to maintain balance.
VastaaPoistaMr. Anttila is exceptionally tall with his 203 cm. The rest are 185-190 cm and the shortest player 170 cm - told my husband :) I don't know much, am not personally so interested.
PoistaGrandes celebrações.
VastaaPoistaUm abraço e boa semana.

VastaaPoistaCongratulations, Leijonat!
