The heat and draught have gone by now, but they did their damage.
Birches and many shrubs are yellow already and drop their leaves on the grass.
Autumn is in the air. Of course a bit melancholy but apples are ripening!
This week I'll share my poor summer plantings.
The watering was the responsibility of my husband, but he did not quite succeed...

Koivut ovat keltaisia, monet pensaat ruskeita ja syksyn lehtiä satelee nurmikolle.
Tuntuu hyvin syksyiseltä, haikealtakin tottakai, mutta omenat ovat kypsymässä!
Tällä viikolla muutama kuva surkeista kesäkukistani.
Kastelu oli miehen vastuulla eikä ressukka selvinnyt aivan puhtain paperein.

Why my Actinidia kolomikta grows in a funny place like this, beside the pool?
Well, it was climbing to the roof of our gazebo, but one winter the gazebo fell to ground
because of snow burden - and the plant stayed on the spot :)

Oh Riitta,I think your husband did OK! It is very hard to garden in such heat (especially for someone who is new to gardening, because his wife usually does it ;))). ...and the hanging basket looks lovely still. Fun how the plants that got such heavy snow just kept on doing well after the buildings collapsed! They didn’t give up. Thank you for hosting!

I really feel your pain about the plants not getting enough water. The same thing happened to me. So very sad. It's never really a good idea to delegate watering, but sometimes we must. Your petunia photos are wonderful. Next year will be a good one.

VastaaPoistawunderschön sind Deine Sommerblumen, herrlich blühen sie. Der Pavillon gefällt mir, dort kann man bestimmt sehr gemütlich sitzen.
Ich musste auch immer den Pflanzen Wasser geben, sonst wären sie verdurstet. Bei mir blüht auch noch so viel und es kommen noch sehr viele Schmetterlinge und Bienchen.
