It is Midsummer week. I connect to midsummer geraniums, lupins, cow parsley
irises and of course Midsummer rose - Rosa spinosissima.

Happy Midsummer! Thank you for sharing your childhood tradition of placing birch branches along your staircase. The birch tree is one of my favourites as it has such delicate leaves and graceful shape. Blue and white flowers are a lovely combination. Your lupins are a beautiful shade of blue.

I loved reading the story of your Father's tradition. Birch trees are very beautiful, I love how their leaves glisten in the sunlight. Their bark is lovely too.
What beautiful images. You have such a talent, as a gardener and as a photographer. I find it interesting that your lupines and roses are blooming at the same time. In my experience, the roses are much after.
