1 A FEW WORDS ABOUT JOULUPUKKI - SANTA CLAUS
Santa Claus - Joulupukki is really a Finnish Christmas figure!
The name literally means Christmas goat - billy-goat. Joulupukki and his wife live and work
in Korvatunturi, a mountain in Lapland. His assistants are called joulutonttu;
they are not elves but are essentially human, often dwarflike in character.
They spy children from their hiding places in order to find out whether the kids behave well or bad. The well behaving kids can be sure to get many Christmas presents on the Christmas Eve.
Did you know that Joulupukki sends a letter to your kids too?

Joulupukki - Santa Claus receives every year about half a million letters from children all over the world. Since 1985 there has been appr 17 million letters from 200 countries
- that is a lot! Let your children write to Santa - he answers for sure - and how fun this is!
