I told you about Lucas Cranach exhibition HERE. Modern jewellery à la Cranach was part of the exhibition, designed by contemporary German artists in 2015. It was the year of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Lucas
Cranach the Younger and the Saxony-Anhalt
Arts Foundation arranged a competition. The exhibition of these amazing & imaginary works was shown in 2015-16 at three museums in Germany - and now I could see them in Helsinki! There were big posters with beautiful young girls and the jewellery was under glass.
Pieces of jewellery play a key role in Cranach’s works. They emphasize a woman’s status and beauty, often being nude beauties’ only accessory. The items painted by Cranach generally represented the fashion of the Wittenberg court.

PoistaThese pieces of jewellery were made for the exhibition, and not for wearing I suppose :) Very extravagant pieces.
Jewellery can also be put in scene really well, the eyes look at it immediately, and all pieces you show us have something very special for me. Great pieces, and as we can see in the pictures, jewellery has always played a special role in a woman's life.

VastaaPoistaNur die "Halskrause" wäre mir etwas zu unbequem.
Und vielen Dank für den Shostakowitsch, ich mag seine Musik sehr, man muß sich hier vor allen in seine Synphonien erst einarbeiten. Aber die 7. die Leningrader ist mein Favorit schon immer, weil eine enorme Geschiche dahintersteckt.

PoistaDas sind wirklich beeindruckende und interessante Schmuckstücke, die du uns heute zeigst. Auch die Farbbearbeitung gefällt mir sehr gut.
VastaaPoistaPersönlich bevorzuge ich allerdings eher gewichtsmäßig leichten Schmuck, der möglichst dezent gehalten ist, dafür darf es dann gerne eine Brillant oder Diamant sein :)))

Lucas Cranach und moderner Schmuck ... was für eine tolle Kombination. Musikalisch denke ich unwillkürlich an Hofhaimer: Greyner zanner. Und natürlich an seine Verbindung mit Luther...
