Rosa rugosa 'Belle Poitevine' |
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Rosa pimpinellifolia 'Ruskela' is blooming soon for the first time. I have got it as a small root sprout. |
In spite of rainy days, many plants are beginning to bloom:
in pink as roses, in blue as geraniums, in yellow as hemerocallis...
Paeonia lactiflora 'Edulis Superba' |
- Bill Watterson
There's going to be a lot of reading this summer!
Probably Geranium x magnificum |
Meconopsis gambrica - The Welsh poppy |
Meconopsis betonicifolia - only two buds... |
Tradescantia Andersoniana Group I have these in many colors, this one had self seeded between pavement tiles... |
Plantago media |
The white Centaurea montana is not as aggressive as the blue one |
Rosa rugosa 'Zwerg' |

There is something so special about flowers In the rain. Yours are beautiful. Hopefully sunshine soon. B x
VastaaPoistaThis summer is really odd Barbara. Heavy wind and rain, but in between some sun too....
PoistaYour raindrop-photos, dear Riitta, are so beautiful! Very nice!
VastaaPoistaAnd the Meconopsis is a blue dream! I never saw a whtie Centauria, wonderful!
Why don't you want to hear the name of your geranium??? I think it's growing in my garden, too.
Regards
Edith
I was not sure of the name Edith :) It probably is Geranium x magnificum? I know I have 'Rozanne' somewhere too... I have changed so many plants in plant exchange happenings that I'm quite lost! And also replanted them around the garden...
PoistaThe white Centurea montana is very beautiful, I have a light purple version too...
Have a nice evening Edith!
I think your geranium is 'magnificum'. It's not 'Rozanne'.
PoistaEdith

VastaaPoistaFlowers drizzled in the rain are beautiful.
I am enthralled with blue poppies (Meconopsis betonicifolia).
Unfortunately, I do not have it in my garden.
Riitta, your photos are always perfect.

VastaaPoistaHello Riitta, such sumptuous roses from your beautiful garden... they must give out such gorgeous perfume :D)
VastaaPoistaAll the colours you have there are incredible and it never ceases to amaze me just how much is blooming in your garden at the one time! The raindrops add a special touch to their loveliness too.
Really lovely photos indeed, so calming and colourful. Warm greetings to you!
VastaaPoistaWe've been having light rain showers again and the raindrops do add something extra special to a photo of a flower in bloom. It's pleasing to see plants that you've raised from young flower for the first time. Thank you for hosting Floral Bliss. Wishing you a good week.

VastaaPoistaYour flowers are beautiful. Loving your white centaurea montana. I'm forever thinning out my blue ones!
VastaaPoistaYour pond is so inviting with the pebbles leading us into the water. My frogs would love it.
Raindrops bring out the best in flowers as well as giving them a much needed drink.

Your work is magnificent, and informative as well! I did not know that the white perennial bachelor button was not as agressive. Good to know.

Liebe Riitta,
VastaaPoistaganz wunderschöne Blütenbilder hast Du in Deinem Post eingestellt!
